Following the launch night in September, Funhouse Comedy Club brings another great line-up of comedians to Hotel Felix, Cambridge on Saturday November 23rd.
Topping the bill is the charismatic and highly talented Sony Award winner, Tom Wrigglesworth, comedian, Radio and TV presenter and voice-over artist who has had two series’ on BBC Radio 4. An articulate and natural raconteur, he possesses an innate ability to riff with an audience like they’re old friends. His warm and hilarious tales told with true passion, never fail to captivate his audiences.
Opening the night will be comedian and radio presenter Steve N.Allen, who has appeared on BBC2's ‘The Mash Report’. With his amusingly witty anecdotes about the world of radio and his failed attempts at romance, he keeps the audience laughing out loud.
Also appearing is Shazia Mirza, an international award-winning comedian and columnist for the Guardian Weekend magazine who has also guested on ‘Have I Got News For You?’ From Birmingham, she was previously a science teacher with one of her former pupils being the rapper Dizzee Rascal. Star of radio and TV she has appeared on ‘Last Comic Standing’, ‘Richard and Judy’ and ‘The Wright Stuff’. Shazia’s distinctive act combines a deadpan delivery with observation on her world; her laconic one-liners represent something quite unique in modern comedy.
Compere for the night will be Fran Jenking with his likeable charm and friendly banter.
