Members of the world-famous Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team will take flight in DC in a spectacular martial arts showcase, as seen on the CBS show The World’s Best with their impressive second place finish in 2019. This Opening Performance event will also feature K-Pop dance by groups, Samulnori percussion music, and traditional cultural performances.

As a civil diplomatic corps, the team conducts demonstration tours around the world, introducing Korea’s indigenous martial art tradition that has evolved into a pop culture icon of Korea as well as a global community and Olympic sport.

How to Attend
Free reservations are required for this special event at KCC Website(https://washingtondc.korean-culture.org/en/1125/board/889/read/118257). For the safety of all visitors, proof of vaccination will be requested upon entry; those who opt not to present proof of verification are required to wear a face covering at all times during the event. Venue space is limited; all registration is first come, first served. Parking is local/street/self only.
