The Southern Universities Network is excited to invite you to our upcoming virtual parent and carer event, Preparing for Change: Next Steps After College or Sixth Form.

Join us on Tuesday 21 March 2023 between 4:00 - 6:00pm for this special event for parents and carers of young people currently studying at sixth form or college. Throughout their education, your young person will have lots of decisions to make. Choosing higher education options after finishing sixth form or college can be challenging for students, and knowing how to support them as a parent or carer can be difficult.

With 9 live talks to choose from, our event is designed to provide you with everything you need to know to support your young person with their next steps towards higher education. Including topics such as Student Finance, What to Expect, Degree Apprenticeships, Student Support and many more.

Alongside expert speakers from the region's most prominent higher education providers, we are delighted to announce that our keynote speaker will be Lorraine Lee!

Lorraine's talk, 'Helping Young People Make Positive Decisions About Their Future', will equip parents and carers to play a crucial role in helping their children to make the best possible decisions about the next stage in their exciting future.
