Hi Gemma, thanks for the reply that's very helpful. Yes if you would send me the address of the government office you visited that'd be great! No I don't speak German yet but I intend to get onto that straight away. I haven't got a place to live organised yet either but I was thinking I'd like to live either in Innsbruck or in Hall a few kilometres away. Hopefully it's not too hard to find a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment somewhere to rent. I know a few locals from work who can hopefully lend a hand with that stuff but they had no clue on how a foreigner registers to live in Austria. Thanks a million for the info, if you're still stuck for a German teacher and I come across one I'll let you know! Bye for now. :) Lee
