info deportation

Posted in Innsbruck forum

Hello!
I would like to inform You of an initiative that I, Fabio Ardigò from Italy, with three friends are planning to honor the memory.
In July, we will make a trip by bicycle from Brescia to Auschwitz because we believe that it is necessary in any case to keep alive the memory of what is
happened during the Nazism and preserve it for future generations.
We are bikers and we love this mean to geto to Auschwitz slowly, in silence, in meditation, through the places that were crossed by the deportees themselves.
The ultimate goal is to make a documentary that collects during the bike trip testimonials of survivors, visits of places that had to deal with the deportation,
meetings during the trip, etc, etc, etc to offer it to schools, on websites, and to the media which are interested in spreading it.
We have the patronage of the CERVI MUSEUM from Reggio Emilia in Italy (www.memorieincammino.it)
Since I see that you are concerned and active on the same issue I would ask you kindly if you would be available to help us to build up the content of our trip, informing us of people and places that can be interesting for this purpose.
The mean (bicycle) will not allow us to move away from the itinerary that will take place in ten stages (eleven with the latest additional krakow) and therefore our possibility of meetings and visits is limited to the path: brescia, Bolzano, innsbruck -salzburg-linz-Krems an der Donau-brno-olomouc-ostrava-krakow
Thanks in advance for what you can do for us
Regards, Fabio
