Stay away from the Stache Heiko and "his" appartment in the following address…

Posted in Vienna forum

Hello, my name is Julia and I would like to report what happend to me and to ask for help if possible. Last month I was looking for an appartment in Vienna and I have found an appartment through the following web-site: http://oesterreich.kijiji.at. With the Titel "1-Zimmer-Wohnung Sehr schöne möblierte".

A person called himself Stache Heiko, saying that he is 36 years old white male from Finland, who owns an appartment in the following address Vorgartenstraße 221, 1020 Vienna, Austria.

And that he is looking for someone to live in the apartment because his company has won an auction for a large construction project in Liverpool, United kingdom. He is saying that he is a project manager in civil engineering, so his adjustment period in the UK is for more than 4 years. Apparently he bought this house when he was working in Vienna, because he had a contract of the 4 year there and considering it to be a better investment than renting.
He is saying that he is the sole owner of the apartment, which is fully paid and there are no legal problems. The house is empty because he doesnt live there anymore.
He wants to rent his apartment to a nice and responsible person, and first will ask more details about yourself: How old are you if you are married, if you have a pet if you have a car, job etc. . I will say that he has nothing against the fact that you might be a student and that he loves animals, and they have been welcomed into his home! And he appreciate the honesty!!!

Here is some information about him (at least the one he is providing) me and about the apartment, so we knew a little more.

The apartment is located right in the pictures, fully furnished, fully equipped, so you do not need anything in motion (you can also add your own stuff furniture if you have).

The monthly rent is 350EUR including utilities (water, electricity, Internet, cable, parking). Rent the apartment for an indefinite time, but for a minimum period of 3 months.

About Me I am 36 years old, single man, and as I mentioned above, a project manager in civil engineering, currently living in Liverpool, UK. You can move into the home on the same day you receive the keys. I am already in the UK, but I was already thinking of a solution, so you get the keys and visit the apartment to make an impression.
I appreciate your interest in my apartment, and I look forward to our future cooperation and friendship.

Sincerely,
Heiko

The potential landowner placed pics of "his appartment"also on your web-site, under the following address: http://www.mypicx.com/01152012/Vorgartenstrabbe/.

He turned to be criminal, a person who is asking for a deposit and than saying that he will send keys by post, but it never happens. So I dont want other people to be hurt and become victims of fraud as it happend to me! Can you please advice me somewhom in this matter and if possible remove those pictures His name apparently was Stache Heiko and email [...].

He is offering people to make a transaction through Moneybookers Rental Department , but in reality they do not exist and it is a SCAM, so please be carefull! I would appreciate any help or advice which you can provide!

People please dont trust to him and do not transfer any money through services like Moneybookers Escrow Account because they are fake and its a scam!!!

I hope no one else will get hurt.

Good luck to me and everyone and if someone can help em or advice what to do in this matter, I will appreciate it very much!

Best,
Julia

There are a lot of these ads on the internet. Same story, had to move to UK, US, etc for job and took the keys with them.

Anyone who seriously wanted to rent their apartment but had to leave quickly would use a realtor. Do not buy into these scams. No real owner of an apartment or landlord would do this.

These are all scams and you see them in every city in the world. Craigslist in Europe is especially filled with these ads

My name is Heiko Stache and I got an email about your interest in my apartment in Gajova 9, 81109 New Town, Bratislava, Slovakia.
Looking for someone who lives in my apartment because my company has won the auction for a big construction project in Liverpool, United Kingdom. I am a project manager in the construction industry, so my accommodation period here will be very large (more than 4 years). I bought this apartment when I worked at the Slovak four years contract, thinking it would be better than an investment in the lease. I am the sole owner, the apartment is fully paid, and there is no legal problem. The apartment is free, because I already live there.
I want to rent my apartment to some nice and responsible person, I'd like to know more details about myself: How many years are you if you are married, if you have a pet, if you have a car, occupation etc. I must say that I have nothing against the fact that you are a student and I love animals and they are welcome in your home. You should also know that I appreciate sincerity.
In addition to rest, here is some information about yourself and the home, so we knew a little more.
The apartment is exactly like the pictures, fully furnished, fully equipped, so you do not have anything to be able to (you can also bring your own stuff, furniture, if you have one).
Monthly rent is 480EUR including utilities (water, electricity, internet, cable, one parking space). You can rent an apartment for an indefinite period, but at least three months.

You move into an apartment on the same day you get the keys. I'm already in the UK, but when I have to deal with, so you can get the keys and go home to make an impression.
I appreciate your interest in my apartment and look forward to our future collaboration and friendship.

    Thank you!
    Heiko
