English Native Speaker/Language Exchange

Posted in Vorarlberg forum

I have recently moved to Dornbirn from the UK and am currently learning German. However, I am keen to pick up the language whilst I am living here. At present I am having difficultly finding a job as my German is only very basic therefore I am looking for people to practice with. I would be keen to do a language exchange and offer to help practice/learn English if required.

Please contact me if you are interested [...]

    Hi,
We are a family of four who are thinking of moving to Voralberg in the coming months. We have two kids and would love to send them to the public school. I have a couple of questions that I'd really appreciate any advice/ direction:
    - where can I find flat/house rentals online for the Voralberg region? I find so many for Vienna etc
    - has anyone sent their child who doesn't speak German to public school ? Is their much support for them to be immersed?
    - I"m concerned about the dialect, if my children (5,7 years) study for a couple of years in this region and we move to another area will their be consequences for their pronunciation etc?

Thank you for any help you can give,
    Thanks

    Hi Ann,

I have the opposite problem, I am moving to Dornbirn in a few months and need to learn German fast! Perhaps you could give me some settling in tips.

    Hi Ann,

it´s maybe quite late but I would be totally interested in a language exchange. Hopefully you´re still in Vorarlberg. I´m a native German speaker. I used to live in London and I miss it a lot. Please send me a mail it would be great to hear from you.

    cheers,
