hello community!! how are u all doing, im new to this forums and i just wanna ask something regarding my work...so here it goes..

i recieved an offer for a job in a cafe, i got the job...everythings ok...but now...i want to resign....coz i wanna study...ive been working for my employer for 1 year now...(not counting when the visa has been issued which is 5 months after i finish my probationary period) but all in all, i worked for him for a total of 1 year...now my question is...if i want to resign...do i need to pay my employer anything? coz my offer letter(yes i only got an offer letter, no formal employment contract what so ever) states that if i want to resign i need to pay the remaining lrma fee and extra charges...since my visa will expire 8 months from now...do i need to pay for those 8 moths remaining? what are these "Lmra fees and extra charges?" if u need more details regarding my question pls dont hesitate to reply and ask me. thank you! i hope this post will get some response...coz i really need to know....thank you and have a great day

visa fee is 200 around for 24 months so you may have to pay 1/3 of it which is remaining.
companies in bahrain have their own policies and you cannot fight with them for tiny things.

Speak to your employer, explaining your situation. Maybe you get a study leave and can rejoin after you complete your studies. Also speak to a legal specialist or even someone at the immigration / labour department (or even an immigration typist) regarding what the rules are. Once you have all the information and have spoken to your employer, you can make an informed decision, considering the various alternatives.
