hi. we have our documents submitted for fiance visa in Belgium embassy in Manila first week of oct. and interviewed again first week of dec. we're wondering what is the average processing time for this visa type..we are hoping to get married before our marriage declaration expires feb 10..does anyone here wants to share their experiences re fiance visa? thanks and happy new year!

Hello Ms. Anna,
How are you? I just wanna ask regarding with the link, it said no result.. and no electronic, wherein the consul in the embassy has the authority to issue the visa. I was interviewed last April 28,2011.
Are they strict regarding with the visit to a friend visa? I asked only 75 days.I am worried now coz I was not able to submit my Certificate of Employment, but when I asked the lady right after she interviewed me if I can still submit she told me no need.Is this ground for refusal?Hope end of this month I can have the result atleast I can buy ticket and an insurance as well. Coz my special friend in Marke, Belgium is so excited.

question here, how are you handling all your luggage, clothes, shoes, etc to belgium? are you doing freight service?.. or to ZD Pardo, kiindly tell me how to handle this as the airline only allows upto 30 kg. max and as we all know, girl's stuff will never be only 30kg! hehehe...

That is so true, Anna Liza. It's been a while. And we just can't wait to see them again, can we? Hehehe! I really want to leave as early as possible but I still have to meet up with other people and prepare the requirements that my family will be needing for their visa application. I want them to attend my civil wedding kasi. Keeping my fingers crossed their visa will also be granted. Good luck on your Makati endeavors. This is it, girl! ;)
You are so much welcome Felipe. :) Btw, does it say 'In Behandeling' is the status field of your visa profile? When was your document submitted to the Immigration Service of Belgium? (I'm pretty sure you already used google translate) but the date can be found in the second field of the info box.;)

Hey Desert Vixen, i will book my flight thru Etihad this coming Monday and so is my Travel Insurance thru AIU via Makati. So i will be a Makati girl this coming Monday.hehe.. I will most likely fly out on May 20 if there is still space. For sure our only stop over is at Abu Dhabi and that's it! I do want to see my man immediately coz let's face it, it has been awhile right? can't wait!!!!!

My fiance and I just booked a flight for May 26. Yay! This is really happening now. :) How about you Anna Liza? Do you already have a flight schedule? And btw, we booked British Airways just cause I wanted t have a stop over in London and in Singapore. Hahaha! =P
Hey Felipe, you should monitor the status of your visa through that link. So much better and cheaper than calling the embassy. They give the same info anyway. ;) Good luck to you. I really really hope you get your visa soon. So then, everybody in this forum thread is happy. Yay! :)

yeah i know! rather strange to have the email confirmation so late but hey! it's all in black and white now, so i cannot complain ofcourse.
to felipe, when i went to BE twice under visit a friend visa, it only take 3 weeks and a half before i got the email confirmation. try to check the link too so you can have a guide on your visa status:

I just read the e-mail from the Embassy. Yay!!! It's so strange though that your visa has been approved on April 28 and yet they only contacted you now. Hmp! Not so nice. But oh well. At least they contacted you already and that's the most important thing. ;)
I'm glad I already have Filipina friends in Belgium. That's one of the things I worry about. Like, "Oh no. How is it gonna be like to live in a place where you don't know a lot of people and not have so many kababayans?" So yeah, it's all cool now. :) So happy to have met you here, ladies. Once we're all in Belgium na, we can update each other on how we can a get a job or how to enroll in a language course. And I bet ZD Pardo is gonna be our angel again. Hehehe!
