We need an apartment

My partner and I are both Journalists and we would like to Live in Gent anytime after the first of May for 6 months, Our Budget is around 500 euros.

we know that throw rental agencies it would be very expensive since we are thinking of 6 months only.

Any Suggestions?

    Two suggestions:
    www.zebrastraat.be: 10 minutes from the center but nice location where a lot of expats are living in appartment, studio's, etc. There is also a cultural "center" and a real nice lounge bar.

    http://www.griffioengent.be: you can rent appartments for temporary stay.

    If you want to meet people, there are enough opportunities to meet locals. If you also want to meet foreigners/expats, look for communities via facebook:
    expats in ghent
    JCI Gent Artevelde Expats
    Griffin expats
    These 3 communities are a little not that active right now but ... soon there will be more action.
