Is that too difficult to manage association rules and regulations?

I was imagining the life inside a condo, where you have a lot of neighbors next to your place, having shops, restaurants and other places of interest in walking distance. So I planning to buy a new condo in North York ( www.yourcondos.com ). Along with these pros I came to know about the association fees that should be paid monthly. It will be great if you can help me in sorting this. Is this association fee worth giving? It will be great if you can share your experience of living in a condo. Many of my friends mentioned about rules and restrictions associated with condos. Is that too difficult to manage these rules and regulations? Please share your thoughts here.
