Exchanging an expired Ontario driving licence

Hello,
Does anyone out there know/can guide on whether we can exchange an expired Ontario driving licencemin BC. How do we get the BCID card. We are relocating to BC and need to find all this before we land,thanks

    Hey Barbara,
    Thanks a ton for your reply. However ,we did land in BC and did get the license converted,ICBC accepts expired ON license as long as it is less than 2 yrs since expiry.
    For all other newcomers to BC ,Care card info is available on www.hibc.gov.bc.ca
    BCID is needed for people who DO NOT have any other identifying document9a care card or a driving licence are identity documents).Teenagers who do not have the driving licence definitely need this.

    Hi there,

    If your license is expired, it's expired. You should have kept it current and renewed, sorry! It means you'll have to take the driving exam over again in BC to prove your safe driving abilities - basically start over again as if you were a new driver. Each province is separate on this.

    As for the BCID, go to www.gov.bc.ca and you should be able to find the information there.
