The school says its fine if you only speak English. You would need to learn a little just to get around the place and get your groceries but there's lots of tourists in Nice so you should be ok. I've heard of people studying in Paris without any French either. Have you looked at the website for the Academy in Paris? Its meant to be brilliant... www.makeupforever.com
I'm looking at Nice because I already have somewhere to stay in Nice but if I don't find out anything about the school I might do the course in Paris instead! I'll only be doing Module 4 because I'm already a makeup artist...
