German bank with english customer service?

Posted in Germany forum

I need to open a bank account in Germany but don't speak a lot of German yet. So I was wondering if there is any bank with English customer service and English online banking. Anyone has an idea?

    Hi Sarah,

As I wrote, they have e-banking (online banking) in English. In fact I use it in this way.
I don't know if they have costumer service in English but I think so. Because their web site is also available partially in English.
Please have a look at their web site:

    Hi Paco!

Thanks for this tip. I haven't thought about Commerzbank yet. Do you know if they have customer service and online banking in English?

    Sarah,

I think the Commerzbank would be a good option for you. I don't know their costumer service yet. But I use currently their English e-banking and it's pretty good.
By the way, if you have incomes about 1200 Eur. monthly then you don't need to pay any rate.

    Regards!

I think I will go for Citibank as their rates are pretty cheap and you can also use them all across Europe. Thanks for your help!

Hi Sarah, I believe that Citibank has English online banking, you might want to check.
