Moving to Hannover

Hello,

I'm moving to Hannover with my German girlfriend from New Zealand. I am a UK citizen and New Zealand citizen. I am a qualified Automotive Electrical and Mechanical technician and will be searching for a job... I understand I will struggle to find a mechanics job without speaking good German so I have been applying at any English speaking bar/restaurant I can find on the internet. Where else can I potentially find a job only speaking English and basic German?

Any other information you think I will need will also be greatly appreciated!
