Germany forum < Racism in Germany - how bad is it?

    I first decided to go to Germany to learn German after meeting so many friendly Germans in Italy, believe it or not! Yes, I actually met nice Germans! I hope you copy and paste and save this comment coming from me, the German hater! Hahaha

    But once I got to Germany, I was like, so where the hell did all the nice Germans go?!?

    It's a lot different for me since I'm Asian and you are Caucasian.You will have a better experience in Germany. All I'm saying is, most of the Germans commenting here are probably the kind of Germans I met in Italy. I'm not denying there are nice Germans. But unfortunately they are a tiny tiny minority, at least that's the reality for visible minorities. And the rest of Germans can be incredibly ignorant.

    So as far as you are concerned, you have not much to worry about. But does that make racism in Germany non issue for everyone? No, unless you ignore the visible minorities.
