    You are missing the point.

    The European protesters are not asking for liberty, self-determination or freedom let alone to be trusted by their governments with more personal responsibility.
    They are asking for their zookeepers to be more generous with the daily portions.

    The complete opposite to that is the US TeaParty and Ron Paul. Against big government micro managing their life is the framework of their platform.
    To adhere to the US Constitution.
    Most TeaParty members would rather starve than take a single unnecessary dollar as a handout.

    Because they know the price of that is your freedom and selling your children’s freedom down the road to the bureaucrats.
