We are a group of people representing 5 different continents of the world, living in or near Mannheim. We get together for friendship and conversation (be it English, or practicing Deutsch, Spanish or even Hindi!) on the first Thursday of every month at 7:30pm in Cafe Boland's, Mannheim (Q4,1). We all know what it's like moving to a new place and adjusting to another culture, so if you are in that position, you will feel right at home with us! I dont know if you are still on this form much any more since your last post was in May of this year. But if you are I was thinking about taking a job in Mannheim i lived in Germany before for about three years loved it their but I had more money to spend then now. From your last post looks like you have a good group of friends that you meet with from time to time. So information about Mannheim would be great. I am looking for a posssible roomate or a very cheap apartment with extras included if possiable and a monthly budget of about $2,000 US dollars a month if I can. I am looking at moving to Germany "Mannheim-Sandhofen" I lived in Germany before for three years but I was a soilder then and living their was alot easier. I will be a contractor this time and saving money would be nice. I would like to live off $2,000 US dollars a month. For one person (food, apartment, internet, ect..) maybe a car but I dont think I can stay under 2,000 a month if I get a car. So any advice would be great. Thanks

does the international conversation meeting still take place now and then? I'm not really a foreigner(after 3 years in the city), but I just came back to Mannheim one month ago after having spent a lot of time abroad and I miss meeting international people.
