hi, unfortunately no other language is similar to Hungarian concerning vocabulary and grammar, in Finnish you come across some words that sound similar to Hungarian ones but generally it wouldn't help either...
But if you already have practice with learning complicated languages like Arabic and Hebrew you won't have so many difficulties (or won't be so surprised) when you start with Hungarian:)
