Q about Re-entering Italy in less than 3 months once I go back to Us

Hi all,

I am currently living in Italy on a study visa and my time is almost up and must return to the states. I have heard that I must stay in the states for 3 months until I can return to Italy as a tourist again. Does anyone have any experience on this or know how strict they are with this? I would like to return in less than 3 months as my boyfriend lives here and isn't able to come to the US. Any help is appreciated!

    You need to be officially engaged with a european....
    so leave that boyfriend , come here that we'll find a good fiancee for you (I'm doing this in your interests, just because you understand the language better this way, for docs and stuff , you know)
    and then we'll go together to live in Italy
    What about that ?
