I need help to decide which British school is better

Posted in Kuwait forum

Hello everyone,

my son is going to be kg next year 2015/2016, and admission for the new year is about to start.

I am not considering american schools, only British.

also my budget is not opened, that's why i had to exclude BSK ,NES and KES. although i know that they are considered the best.

Moving to the lower level, i had to choose one of the below schools, and would really appreciate recommendations from you guys.

English Academy, in Hawally
National English school ,Hawally
the English playgroup
I am not sure what is the fees for Gulf English school.

im also execuding Cambridge,Oxford and IAK as i believe they are not good.

also if you have an extra one that i didn't mention, please tell me about it.

thanks guys :)
Shaimaa

First, i want to thank you all for the helpful replies, it really helped.

Heba H: when i asked about IAK ,i didn't receive a very good feedback, some said its not good when it comes to organizing, also i didn't like the campus , but nobody said something bad about the education level, so you know what? in putting it in the end of my list.

I am ending up to consider English academy as it had the best reviews yet, of course i mean when it comes to my budget. i wish i could enroll him to something better but unfortunately its not financially possible .

also as interviews is not in the same time, so i have to apply for more than one, so the next in the list would be English playgroup and BTW they have primary also not only KG,,,and may be in the end IAK.

    Thanks again guys.

Hi there ! Just couple of days ago I pulled my child out of BSK , the reasons are: The British school it is just a name , from British they have only some of teachers , the school is good for Arabic speaking kids , because it full concentration on Arabic and Islam . The management cares only about money , they do not care and do not respond any complain from parents . It seems that they really do not care , if you want you stay , if you don't like you can go . Really not worth it to pay that much money.

    hi my dear Shaimaa
the top quality schools in kuwait are (new english school- BSK- Kuwait English school KES) this high fees thy r giving the top quality of education , top welfare facilities and rich fun programs for the kids and this types of school are more matching with the english natives in kuwait. coz it suit their culture u will feel that u r in England (i think u get me)!!!!
by the way my son also is going to join KG this year so i search more and more finally i reach to the better english school here is very good quality of education with reasonable fees school is( ENGLISH ACADEMY of Kuwait) its really a professional school but sure they not give you the pretty welfare facilities which are introduced by BSK , KES,or NES

wish to ur child better future inshallah

Best British school - value for money

The English Academy in Hawally is an excellent school. They achieve good results and provide lots of extra curricular activities for children. They are one of the best schools in Kuwait. The fees are low compared to the other top British schools and the teachers are all British. Here is their fee info on their website: http://www.tea.edu.kw/the-school/fees/
    Good luck.

    Dear Shimaa

My kids are in Oxford academy, i went through the same process as you are now, so my recommendation to you is as follows, Most primary schools are the same till year 7, so no need to pay more without getting what you want, i can say that Oxford is a very good school till 6th grade, competition is high and kids are happy their with a reasonable fees, also English play group is fine but you will need to move after your kid reach 1st grade, so better to enroll him in a big school with primary section.

    w-of-Hawalli
the english academy i don't know really but i also found some bad reviews in other forums..
i'm looking for a school for my 4 years old girl too.. so here what i came up with
    Kuwait International English School
    The English Playgroup
The English School in salmiya (though i don't know yet how much are their fees but i found many good reviews about it)
I was concidering IAK but i don't know why r u excluding it if u know something plz let me know.
NES , BSK, KES all have also very good reviews but fees are much higher..hope this was helpful for u :)
