UAE's driving license

Please advise me on the procedures for converting UAE's driving license to Kuwait's driving license.

    Hi,

    I think you can get it from any office just ask for fines report for your dirving license & get it stamped. if there is any fines clear it first then get a clean report.

    I get mine from Abu Dhabi, cos I had a license from there.

    Ali you need a report from the traffic department showing that you do not have unpaid fines, and stamp it from police and no neeed for attestation.

    When u in kuwait you need to open a file & documents will be orginal college certificate & copy, orginal work permite & copy, and pasport copy & 4 Pics or more.

    You have to check first if your job is listed for conversion or no.

    Hi Mohammed
    Which office of Dubai Police did you go to for the Clearance Certificate? I have been checking at the Barsha Traffic dept and online too but have not been able to get this done.

    I have been trying to get this Clearance Certificate against the license(or NOC). Which office of Dubai Muroor have you gone for this? I have been trying the last week but have not been able to locate the correct place. Can you please let me know

    hi,

    i converted my UAE driving license to Kuwaiti one.

    You need to check if your job as on the work permit allows you to convert. THey need a clearnce certificate from UAE - Dubai Trafic Department showing no fines pending, with stamp from the department no need for attestation. also, they need your original certificate, work permite, and an application signed by your sponsor.

    If you have any doubt just go to the trafic department & they will tell you the requirements

    Hi Guys!

    Thanks alot for your replies.. I got my driving license converted. The process is simple.

    1. You have to get a NOC from Dubai Muroor.
    2. Get all the papers typed from Local Muroor in Kuwait.
    3. Get it attested from your company.
    4. Attach NOC, your college degree in Arabic, izn-e-amal, copy of your UAE's driving license, copy of your civil id, and 3 papers from your company for singature verification and company license.
    5. Take all the papers to local Muroor and get them attested.
    6. Take all the attested papers to General Muroor ( I gues its somewhere in Shweikh).
    7. Get them attested.
    8. Take all the papers back to local Muroor and again get them attested for eye test.
    9. Go for eye test
    10. After eye test, take all the paper and go back to local Muroor and submit it with 30 KD stamps.
    11. They will keep eye test paper and give all papers back to you. Take them to the guy who will open you file.
    12. Once the file is open you have to go for picture.
    13. Take the file to final person who will give you the Kuwait's dirving license.

    Yeah, that's funny. It's as if some of them wants to have a conversation, sneaking up from behind.

    I once saw a big spider crawl into a slightly open window of a car that an old lady was driving. I was on a bus, I was making signs to her from behind the fixed glass window as the bus move ahead. I hope she didn't drive over a cliff because of that spider. It was huge.

    Good day mate

    I laughed so much of the white/yellowish reptile u saw :) this story reminds me of my story in Australia, Queensland State, I was driving to a place called Toowoomba in the Southern QLD country side. in my way there, I stoped for a while to fuel the tank and have a drink. suddenly, I saw a walaby kangaroo almost standing next to me.. its was something really freaky and funny :)

    In 2004, I drove in Kuwait for more than a year using my Australian driver's license. But I had to pay KD10 a month for insurance (Gulf). I think they already changed the rules.

    When I finally applied for a Kuwaiti license, I had to take a test - in Ahmadi. I passed it the first time - no problem, but what made it memorable for me was: When I was waiting in the test car for my turn to back into this parking space, I saw a white/yellowish reptile the size of a young crocodile. It was the first and biggest land creature I saw in Kuwait. The locals tell me it's good eating.

    @ Aly aly: Mate, the worst case scenario is you have to take a practical and written exam after applying for an 'estemara.'

    DEAR U CAN GO DIRECT FOR TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT DIRECT AND U WILL CONVERT IT BECAUSE YOU HAVE UAE DRIVING LICENSE, AND ALL PEOPLE IN GCC COUNTRY CAN CONVERT IT , BUT THEY WILL ASK YOU SOME PAPER FROM THE EMBASSY. THAT WHAT I KNOW, BECAUSE I KNOW SOME BODY HE WENT THEIR THEY ASK HIM TO BRING A PAPER FROM UAE EMBASSY. AND E CONVERT IT DIRECT.

    HOPE I AM RIGHT IN WHAT I KNOW
