I'm an American living in the Groningen area. There's a group that meets for coffee at the top of the V&D every other Friday morning from 10:30-12:30. It's called Connect International, and it's for [mostly] English speakers who want to meet other international people living here. There are also Dutch people who join, and we have a great time just talking and getting to know what's going on around Groningen. If you're interested, the next coffee event is Friday, October 21. There's also a website, but it's being updated to a new server, so it might not be so current. www.connect-int.org
