In order to convert your Australian drivers licence to a New Zealand drivers licence you must have held your full Australian licence for at least 2 years otherwise you will need to sit a theory/practical test to covert it to a New Zealand licence.
As Australian drivers licences do not have their issue date marked on the licence, you will also need to provide proof of the issue date before getting it converted. The issue date can be found on your driving record, you can usually apply online for a copy of your driving record.
