Hey everyone! I am flying to Oslo to attend my God Daughters Naming Ceremony and wanted to get some insight on customs/norms/expectations. I've never been to a naming ceremony, let alone a Norwegian one.
It's being held a City Hall and there will be a dinner at the Grandparents house after. Seems low key and standard, but who knows!?
What should I expect?
What are my obligations/expectations as the God Father?
Do I need to bring anything special as a gift, etc. as God Father?
Any and all insight is appreciated!
PS - Any fun suggestions for presents/support for an American Godfather to a Norwegian Goddaughter would be great.
