I’m preparing for my Davao trip this summer and recreating scenarios here and there. One friend who went there said I might want to prepare getting stranded in Samal Island. He said the smaller boats often cancel their trips when the weather is bad. I just want to know what my other options are when such things happen.
My friend hasn’t really been to Samal itself but just Davao City. He went there for some love tours foreign dating something that I’m not really familiar with. Anyway, I need to make some sort of contingency plan just in case. Is there some motorboat taxi or similar vehicles? Can I pay for a whole boat to take me back to Davao? Thanks in advance for your replies.

It is best to go with a group. 1 ship costs Php 10,000 pesos with friends.
If you like to travel on your own, it is not advisable.
