How hard is it to live in Poland if you don't know Polish?

Posted in Poland forum

Hi, I want to know how difficult it is to live in Poland if you don't know Polish. How commonly is English spoken? If I were to live in a big city like Warsaw or Krakow, would I have a lot of trouble?

How hard is it to learn Polish (after learning a language like French)?

    Hey Amin,

You can come for an internship here e.g AIESEC
I think that is the easiest way.

    Good luck :)

    Hey Emmy,

I guess there are not many asian people in Gorzów Wielkopolski so you were probably some kind of attraction for those kids :P

Im Glad you liked it here!
    Most people usually dont. haha
And the answer for your question...
Polish People are not used to see a girl from china, especially if they are pretty ^^
This country is not , how to say...its not as tolerant as we would like it to be.
People would rather laugh at each others because of skin color or "cross eyes" but dont worry, not everyone is like that!
I am really glad you actually liked being here ;D
    Greetings, Bart ^^

It is possible. Try looking for "apartamenty warszawa" in google. Most of the sites have english version. If you're in a small group then 200 PLN (50 euro) for apartment per day is good deal.

German and Polish are completely different languages :)

  • What about German?

Do a lot of German speakers find it easier to learn Polish than French-speakers? I'm not quite sure how closely German and Polish are (not that I know German anyway!), I was just wondering.

    Thanks for your help, though!
