    Iqama validity does matter, i applied for family visit visa and my Iqama was going to expire in 1 month and they rejected the visa stating to renew my Iqama and Apply again.
    From the situation you have mentioned i think is it depends entirely on the person who is checking the application in MOFA, so you were lucky to get visa because the person checking your application was not concerned about 25 days expiry.
