Food expenses in Dammam

Dear friends,
I am an Indian, have got a job offer in Saudi Arabia (marine port ) for one year with a per month salary of 6500 SR & free accommodation. Only I have to bear food expenses. Can you tell me the present food expenditure in Dammam. Is it possible to prepare daily food (veg/non-veg) as we prepare at home in India. Also is the salary is good to save big.

    Dear G Pattanayak,

    First of all congratulations on your new job.
    If you are eating in hotels it will cost you something between 30-40 Riyals per day for a normal meal, otherwise if you have fancy taste buds then sky is the limit :P.
    Yes, you can cook here at your home and it will be much cheaper and healthier.

    Your salary is very handsome and you can save a lot in this tax free country with limited means of entertainment.
