Hi everyone.
Looking for some advice if you lovely people could help me out. Have been offered a job to move out to Dubai and really considering it. Just have a few concerns. I’ve found a really nice luxury apartment and my new job will actually pay a percentage of the cost of that. Basically after I’ve paid my rent with all bills included I’ll have just over 10,000AED. From this though I’m going to have to send around 4-5000AED home to support my mother and pay some bits off I still owe. Would having 5-6000 AED be enough for me to live comfortably over there. I want to be able to be happy over there and will need things like a phone contract, possibly a Tv package, transport (probably train/bus) and food aswell as going out now and then? If you could advice me would be much appreciated!

5k is enough to live in Dubai, given your rent and electricity bills are taken care of. When it comes to eating outside there are tons of restaurants that go from a range of cheap to expensive - www.dubaiday.com, can guide you to some of the best restaurants, shisha lounges, beaches etc in Dubai. People usually prefer the internet over tv which is also cheap and the public transportation facility is amazing too. so you will be ok here I guess. :D
