My best friend for 10 years has constantly been traveling around Latin America. He usually goes backpacking or even joining some meet Latin tours just for the fun of it. Needless to say, he sure does have a lot of time and money to spend and I’m honestly jealous. I miss hanging out with him, I guess. But still, I don’t know how to deal with this negative feeling and I don’t ever want to think about opening this up with him. Can someone help me sort myself out or give me some advice to feel happier with my life?

Jason, I really understand you. I also have a friend who has already visited 3 capitals (London, Paris, Beijing) and we ourselves come from a small town. But he does not forget about me, although we communicate less and less often. Sometimes I also become sad and envious (especially if I take into account that I was better than him and I was more hopeful). It offends me. But I find myself in my occupation. It gives me an extra reason to try to achieve more than I can match it. Maybe you should prove that you are also worth something.
