5k - Bahamas Race for the Cure 2018
Susan G. Komen Bahamas Race for the Cure®
The race is a 3.1 mile run/walk starting at Montagu Beach and finishing east of the ‘old’ Paradise Island bridge adjacent to the Police Station.
The cure for breast cancer begins with you. Together, we can save lives. When it comes to the disease, you never know when and how you will be affected, which is why it’s so important to unite as a community to honor our survivors, raise awareness and raise money.
Participate in the 8th annual Komen Bahamas Race for the Cure® to show everyone whose life you are running for. It is a wonderful way to honor your mother, father, sister, wife, husband, child, coworker or friend. You may even be running for your own life.
Teams are the backbone of our race and a critical component of our success. A team - minimum of 10 - multiplies the fun, laughter and maybe even the tears you shed on Race Day. A team can consist of family members, friends, co-workers, church members, sororities and fraternities, civic groups, schools, bowling teams or dance classes.
Being a part of a team presents a wonderful opportunity to rally around someone you know who was just been diagnosed with breast cancer, celebrate with someone who has fought and won the battle, or remember someone who may have lost the battle. Together, with your friends, family and co-workers, you make an even greater impact than you could alone.
Again this year, Sunshine Insurance Race Weekend will be presenting ALL participants with finisher medals.
100% of all net profits remain in The Bahamas for research, education and services.
