Join sommelier Maria Laura in her private apartment near Piazza del Poppolo for a 2 hour wine tasting and food pairing workshop. Be transported into a world of Roman gastronomy and hospitality, meet local Romans, expats and travelers from around the world. She will also bring you around the amazing Flaminio neighbourhood.
What will you learn:
Learn about the origins of wine in Italy, the drinking culture of Italians,
and answer some interesting questions - Such as why do Italian bars always serve food, and why are Italians taught to drink from a young age.
Your host and sommelier, Maria Laura will teach you about
3 types of wines - Prosecco, white wine and red wine, and
how do you pair these wines with different foods,
including cheeses, cured meats and savoury pies.
You will also enjoy a lovely walk around the touristic Flaminio neighbourhood.
