The Ars Nova Musicians Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Donna Lorenzo begin their 42nd annual Viva Vivaldi and Vicarious Visionaries concert series on Sunday, October 17, 6:30 P.M. at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 1317 Eggert Rd. Amherst, NY with internationally renowned flute soloist, Carol Wincenc. With the Ars Nova Musicians, she will be performing a concerto by Vivaldi and will also be joined by Buffalo Philharmonic principal flutist, Christine Davis in a duo concerto by Telemann. Other musical artists include BPO associate concertmaster, Amy Glidden, and cellists Robert Hausmann and Amelie Fradette. The Ars Nova Musicians Chamber Orchestra was founded and directed by the late BPO violinist Mary Louise Nanna and are well-known for their musical artistry and creative programming. The Viva Vivaldi series continues with two more concerts; November 14 at St. Michael Church, 651 Washington St. Buffalo, and the final concert, Vivaldi for the Holidays, on December 5, at St. Gregory the Great, Roman Catholic Church, 200 St. Gregory Court, Williamsville. All concerts begin at 6:30 PM. Tickets at the door $15, children 12 and under free. Masks will be required.
