Austin Powwow

Great Promise for American Indian is accepting waiting list applications for the 2016 Austin Powwow and American Indian Heritage Festival.

The Austin Powwow is the largest single day powwow in the country, with crowds of 40,000+.

Indian Market Exhibitor: Exhibitors in the Indian Market must sell authentic Indian made arts and crafts. This is a two step process. An applicant first sends in a waiting list application along with color photos of the goods he or she will be selling. The application is reviewed for appropriateness, and if selected, a formal invitation will be issued as space becomes available. Note that being on the waiting list does not guarantee a space in the Market, since Great Promise receives more applications than it can accommodate. Early application increases your chances of being accepted.

Food Court Vendor: To participate in the Food Court, a vendor must sell at least one authentic American Indian food. Preference is given to vendors who offer a wide range of authentic foods. This is a two step process. An applicant first sends in a waiting list application along with color photos of his or her booth setup. The application is reviewed for appropriateness, and if selected, a formal invitation will be issued as space becomes available. Being on the waiting list does not guarantee a space in the Food Court, since Great Promise receives more applications than it can accommodate.
