Melissa McDilda participated in her first Breathe Deep event in 2017 in honor of her mom, who had been diagnosed with lung cancer in May 2015. After having a wonderful experience, Melissa and her family wanted to bring an event closer to home in West Virginia.

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in West Virginia, and the hope is that Breathe Deep Morgantown will help raise awareness about this disease in an area that is greatly affected by it.
