Charity Pub Crawl for Hurricanes Dorian & Florence - East Rockaway 9/21/19

Charity pub crawl in East Rockaway, Long Island, to pay it forward via Cape Fear Volunteer Center to residents of North Carolina who are recovering from back-to-back hurricanes—Dorian and Florence.

The 4th annual the11518 Charity Pub Crawl will benefit Cape Fear Volunteer Center in Wilmington, North Carolina, not far from where Hurricane Dorian made landfall this September and Hurricane Florence did the same last September. CFVC is on a mission to mobilize volunteers to help victims of both hurricanes. This donation will assist their ongoing, long-term recovery, directly helping displaced families get back home.

Join the11518 in paying it forward to the residents of North Carolina, who are hoping for the same success the East Rockaway community has seen, as they deal with the effects of back-to-back storms. $50 for a limited time. Includes 7 up-to-$4 drink vouchers (1 for each location), food specials, and event sunglasses. Tickets may be purchased at the11518pubcrawl.eventbrite.com. Most expenses handled by event coordinators and participating locations; a large portion of the entry fee will go directly to CFVC.

Background
Through the last three years, this event has raised around $30,000 overall, with funds benefiting Together Baton Rouge, a charity helping post-flooding in Louisiana; Next Step Ministries, a long-term community development group helping in Houston after Hurricane Harvey; and La Maraña, a female-led grassroots non-profit group helping with ongoing recovery efforts after Hurricane Maria.
