A stunning exhibition of paintings and drawings by Wilhelmina Barns-Graham, one of Britain's most influential 20th century artists, to celebrate her artistic links with Yorkshire.

"Britain's foremost woman abstract painter" Simon Tait, Editor Arts Industry Magazine and Critic.

Seventeen museum-quality paintings and drawings represent a cross section of periods of Barns-Graham's career, from works made of her travels to Tuscany and Switzerland in the 1950s to a pencil drawing of the coast of St. Ives in 1985, to her abstract works of the 1990s. Several of the works have not been shown before - made only available by the Wilhelmina Barns-Graham Trust for this exhibition. Particular highlights are a special offset-drawing of the Grindelwald Glacier (Switzerland, 1951) and the artist's explorations of Lanzarote's remarkable lava landscape.
