Exeter: Funny Women - Time Of The Month

An online get-together and chat including a workshop for women who are keen on comedy + a gig.

Doing comedy on camera is different - very different. This session will look at exploring writing and performing comedy for camera.

7.15pm: WORKSHOP FOCUS.Comedy on camera. It is different - very different. We will examine writing and performing comedy for camera and will explore:
'Making friends' with your audience.
Defining who this funny person is right now.
Clocking the audience.
Gesture.
Pausing.
Clowning, improvisation and stand up techniques will feed into this workshop.

Don't worry - it's a safe space with absolutely no expectations to perform or be funny. As usual - we will develop some material in a friendly and supportive group.

There's then an online gig for people wishing to try out their material or deliver a pre-planned set. Five minutes max. Please let me know if you would like to come along. It is a Pay What You Can class. You are very welcome to come and watch and learn, or just write and not share. Entirely up to you.
