SATURDAY NIGHT COMEDY IN ELFORD, STAFFORDSHIRE

Funhouse Comedy brings a laughter packed night to Elford Village Hall, on Saturday September 14th.

Topping the bill is Alfie Moore who has appeared on ITV’s ‘Show Me The Funny’ and ‘The Wright Stuff’. Following the success of the first series on BBC Radio 4 of ‘It’s a Fair Cop’ in 2014 and subsequent exceptional feedback, from listeners and media reviews, three further series have aired, the fourth of which was aired last year. A police sergeant, he brings a wealth of insights and comedy moments from his eighteen years on the beat, where a keen sense of humour has been the key to his success and survival! His engaging style enables him to get serious points across whilst still making the audience laugh until they ache.

Opening the night will be the effortlessly engaging Andrew Bird, who was the support act on Michael McIntyre's recent arena tour and has also supported Rhod Gilbert and Lee Hurst on tour, as well as performing internationally. Watching The Young Ones with his brothers as an eight year old, at two in the morning on Comic Relief, he realized then that he wanted to be funny in some way. With his personal appeal and superbly crafted, funny anecdotes, he captivates everyone.

Completing the line-up is Pete Phillipson, originally from Lincolnshire but based in Manchester, he has been building a name for himself on the circuit as a very funny act over the last few years, mixing fast-paced observations and routines with wonderful characterisations.

Compere for the night will be Kevin Dewsbury talented comedian and actor, who can be seen in the recently released film, ‘Destination Dewsbury’. He has toured the UK and has also been the support act for Michael McIntyre, Omid Djalili and Russell Howard.
