LOTS OF LAUGHTER IN NUNEATON

Funhouse Comedy is back at the Abbey Theatre, Nuneaton for another laughter-packed night.

Headling will be writer, actor and comedian Barry Castagnola who has written for the likes of BBC’s ‘Ask Rhod Gilbert’, as well as creating characters for Dom Joly’s ITV show, ‘Fool Britannia’. His self derision and anecdotes about his life cut to the chase striking a chord with his audiences and his amiable persona never fails to appeal.

Supporting is the congenial and unassuming Mark Simmons who has supported Seann Walsh and Rob Beckett on tour. With his clever one-liners, amusingly intelligent material and warm disposition he keeps the crowd hanging on to every word.

Completing the line-up will be the consistently funny and inventive Robert White, who writes for other comedians and TV panel shows. Openly gay and with Asperger’s syndrome, he is a unique, spell-binding comic. With his abstract perspective and natural musical ability the result is a collection of pockets of randomness, which are very funny and truly engaging for everyone.

Compere for the night is the very sharp Ben Van Der Velde; his spontaneous riffs are delivered with an air of roguish chaos.
