Funhouse Comedy Club - Comedy Night in Ruddington, Notts October 2021

Funhouse Comedy Club, returns to the Cottage Hotel, Ruddington on Friday October 29th for another great night full of laugher.

Topping the bill is Rob Rouse, ever exuberant and recognizable from his many TV appearances including ‘Upstart Crow’, ‘8 Out Of Ten Cats’, John Bishop’s Only Joking’, ‘Celebrity Juice’, ‘Dave’s One Night Stand’ and ‘The Friday Night Project’, as well as making a guest appearance on ‘Coronation Street’. With his cheeky banter and extremely funny tales, he’s always one step ahead of his audience’s expectations and keeps them enthralled with his comedic storytelling.

Opening the night will be Christian Reilly who at the age of 15 joined a band to get laid. The Salvation Army had different ideas! He became an integral part of the Perrier award-winning show Otis Lee Crenshaw and the Black Liars, with comic/songster Rich Hall and travelled the world 3 times. Now as a solo performer he both captivates and amuses his audiences with his comic songs and witty punch-lines.

Completing the line-up is Shazia Mirza, an international award-winning comedian and columnist for the Guardian Weekend magazine who has also guested on ‘Have I Got News For You?’ From Birmingham, she was previously a science teacher with one of her former pupils being the rapper Dizzee Rascal. Star of radio and TV she has appeared on ‘Last Comic Standing’, ‘Richard and Judy’ and ‘The Wright Stuff’. Shazia’s distinctive act combines a deadpan delivery with observation on her world; her laconic one-liners represent something quite unique in modern comedy.

Compere for the night will be the positive, amiable and amusing Dave Bryon.
