Funhouse Comedy Club - Comedy night in Leek August 2021

Funhouse Comedy Club returns to Foxlowe Arts Centre, Leek on Thursday August 5th for another top night of laughter.

Topping the bill is Spaniard/Welshman Ignacio Lopez, who has performed for the Wales football squad and opened for James Dean Bradfield of Manic Street Preachers; with his unique brand of sarcastic observations and witty lines. He gives his audience a taste of what it's like to be the outsider, explaining cultural differences with hilarious results.

Opening the night will be the intelligent and likeable Nick Doody who whilst still a student, supported Bill Hicks on his final tour of the UK, on Bill's request. Very popular on the comedy circuit he also writes for many popular TV comedy shows including 8 Out Of Ten Cats, Have I Got News For You, Rude Tube and for a variety of guests on Mock the Week. His perceptive wit and sharp retorts are delivered with mesmerizing warmth.

Also appearing is Jane Hill whose sharp, intelligent observational comedy is charming, but has a real twist in the tail. Her jaundiced views on love, life and relationships strike a chord with people of all ages.

Compere for the night will be James Cook with his sharp tongue and dry sense of humour he previously worked as a presenter on commercial radio stations, went on air with A-ha and presented Lenny Henry with his 'Walk of Fame'.
