Funhouse Comedy - Comedy Night in Ashby-de-la-Zouch September 2018

Funhouse Comedy returns to the delightful Lyric Rooms, Ashby-de-la-Zouch for another night of fun and laughter.

Topping the bill is the effortlessly engaging Andrew Bird, who was the support act on Michael McIntyre's recent arena tour and has also supported Rhod Gilbert and Lee Hurst on tour, as well as performing internationally. Watching The Young Ones with his brothers as an eight year old, at two in the morning on Comic Relief, he realized then that he wanted to be funny in some way. With his personal appeal and superbly crafted, funny anecdotes, he captivates his audiences.

Opening the night will be the hilarious Jonny Awsum, who appeared on ITV's Britain's Got Talent 2017 and cajoled Ant and Dec into joining his audition! Starting out as barman at The Chuckle Club for eight years he then decided to take to the stage. With his guitar and musical parodies he amuses his audiences charming them with his warm and friendly persona; his style of audience participation is second to none. He has presented for Sky Sports, been warm up act for Big Brother and Loose Women and also starred in several adverts including Cravendale, The Post Office, Experian and even Puntigamer beer in Austria.

Also appearing will be the swift minded, silver-tongued Ryan McDonnell from Belfast. Sometimes bizarre, often dark he'll guide you on a unique journey through the world as he sees it. All the time his candid tales and bold persona are drawing his audiences in.

Completing the line-up is the funny feisty and engaging Cally Beaton.

Compere for the night will be the cheerful and chatty Spiky Mike.
