September is the start of the new year both in school and in comedy. With that in mind, let's have a think about *WHAT THE FLIP ACTUALLY IS A JOKE ANYWAY?*

We'll be looking at some of the most common joke structures, where to look for punchlines and how to turn up the giggles on the ones you've got.

Bring some "almost jokes" or jokes you'd like to make even snappier.

AND

Meet like-minded women with a passion for comedy, learn how to generate material through improvised comedy, share scripts, sets, jokes and ideas from comedians currently performing on the circuit, and find support as you take those next steps in the world of comedy.

And finally:

SHOWTIME: 8.00pm, FREE!

Funny Women knows that comedy can be scary, so this night provides a platform for women to get on stage and perform comedy for the first time. Even if you're already a regular on the circuit, Time of the Month is a great night to try out new material in front of a warm and supportive audience. And the Alchemy 198 audience is SUPER SUPPORTIVE!
