Rouen Road, Norwich, NR1 1RE, United Kingdom Map

Tortoise is embarking on a long-term project to understand Britain's mental health crisis, then to report on it and make arguments for change. It's a subject of enormous scale and complexity. We need to hear the views and expertise of our members, of health practitioners in the public and private sectors, of those who've experienced mental health problems, their families and friends - the views and expertise of nearly all of us, in other words. What do we need to understand to make sense of the mental health crisis? What first steps should we consider as we begin the search for solutions? Please join us as we try to make a difference to one of the great issues of our time.

This ThinkIn has been made possible by our partnership with the Eastern Daily Press.

Chair: Ceri Thomas, Editor and Partner, Tortoise

Our special guests include:
Nicholas Walsh, Researcher, Psychology and Expert on the development of mental health problems, University of East Anglia
Marie Oakes, Founder and CEO The Trend Academy

What is a Tortoise ThinkIn?
A ThinkIn is not another panel discussion. It is a forum for civilised disagreement. Modelled on what we call a ‘leader conference' in the UK (or an editorial board in the US), it is a place where everyone has a seat at the table. It's where we get to hear what you think, drawn from your experience, energy and expertise. It's where, together, we sift through what we know to come to a clear, concise point of view. It is the heart of what we do at Tortoise.

Breakfast from 8.30am, starts promptly at 9.00am. If you are late to a ThinkIn you can 'SlinkIn'!
If you would like to contribute to this ThinkIn, let us know by emailing thinkin@tortoisemedia.com
We film our Thinkins so we can watch them back, edit the best bits and share them with members who weren't there in person.
Members can find their ThinkIn booking code in My Tortoise, under My Membership.
