July 11 – Day trip to Shidu Boating, Bbq, Drifting, Rambling

Beijing, China Map

This event is for FCGroup members (and friends) who wish to Escape Concrete Beijing for a fund and relaxing day and who appreciate that true Networking and Netbonding is based on shared interests and experiences.
Destination: Shidu
Date: Saturday 11 July
Meet: 08:15 Outside the Hilton Beijing (Liangma Qiao)
Depart: 08:30 (sharp)
Cost: 350RMB.
Shidu is in Beijing’s Fangshan District (South West Beijing) and is about 4 kilometres from the border with Hebei.
Shidu (literally 10th Crossing) is often referred to as the ‘mini River Li” (Guilin and Yangshuo) and is considered to have the most beautiful waterscape in suburban Beijing.
We believe that you too will find that the combination of the calm, winding Juma River and the pretty, green mountains that straddle it justify this reputation.
Our programme for the day includes lazily drifting along the Juma River, a BBQ lunch of chicken, lamb, fish, vegetables (and drinks), a stroll though some of the best scenic spots (think East Lake Port) and bamboo rafting.
We anticipate arriving back in Beijing by 8:00pm.
