Liver Life Walk for the American Liver Foundation

Hello! My name is Kim Crowell. I am a Liver Transplant Survivor and Ambassador for the American Liver Foundation (ALF). The ALF asked me to host a local Liver Life Walk for the Wiregrass Area. The walk is scheduled for Saturday, May 14th at the Dothan Botanical Gardens.

The Liver Life Walk is a signature event of the ALF. It allows people affected by liver disease to come together to raise awareness and funds. Funds raised through the Liver Life Walk allow the ALF to provide valuable resources for liver patients and their families. Together, we are moving closer to a world without Liver Disease.

Please support our community in this local event. We were one of only eleven cities in the US chosen for an in-person walk. Please help make this walk a huge success!!!

First and foremost, we are in need of teams to walk/stroll. Our goal is to have at least 10 teams of 10 people participate in the walk. The Botanical Gardens will be beautiful this time of year so come out at enjoy a day of fun. We will be offering Tai Chi classes in the Asian Gardens. Stretch Zone will be on site doing free 10-15 minute stretches. Will will have a corn hole tournament and will be raffling off some very nice prizes. There will be a Kidz Zone with fun and games for the little ones. The cost to participate is a $20 donation to the Liver Life Walk/ALF. Children under 18 can attend for free!

We also are in need of sponsors for our Sponsor Village along with prizes for raffles as well as donations of water and food. Any type of support will be appreciated. Please reach out to me directly if you or your business can help support this fantastic local event. As a first time walk location, we are offering area businesses the opportunity to set up booths at the event provided they donate some sort of prize or give-away item.
