Lunafest Virtual Film Series Benefitting Girls on the Run of Southern Idaho

LUNAFEST®, the fundraising film festival dedicated to promoting awareness about women's issues, highlighting women filmmakers, and bringing women together in their communities, will be hosted by Girls on the Run on a virtual platform.

This event is a fundraiser for our programs for 3rd-8th grade girls in Southern Idaho. At Girls on the Run we inspire ALL girls to build confidence and make intentional decisions, while fostering care and compassion for self and others. Trained coaches use physical activity and dynamic discussions to build social, emotional and physical skills in every girl while encouraging healthy habits for life.

This unique film festival highlights women as leaders in society, illustrated through short films by women filmmakers. The films range from animation to fictional drama, and cover topics such as women's health, motherhood, body image, aging, cultural diversity and breaking barriers.

If you host a watch party at home, please consider having all your guests buy their own ticket, as this fundraiser will help support our organization in these challenging times!

Films featured in LUNAFEST are not rated but we suggest age 13+ for this season's lineup. The 2020 Season features seven (7) short films with a total program running time of 96 minutes.

The online auction is viewable and biddable before, during and after the event. Auction website will be viewable in the beginning of November and open for bidding November 16-22, 2020.
