Falmouth, Massachusetts, 02540, United States Map

When Covid 19 hit Massachusetts, the sudden great need for food required the foundation to grow, quickly tripling its fleet of trucks, and coordinating with 471 partners, 559 venues, and 2,000 volunteers. The volunteers collected 42.7 million pounds of food to distribute 22.2 million meals for veterans, military families, and others this past year. The Massachusetts Military Support Foundation (MMFI) has distributed more than 531,500 boxes of fresh food from the USDA, and 58,000 boxes of shelf stable food donated by more than a dozen companies and organizations over the past year. They also collected 150,000 pounds of food to truck to Texas after the recent, terrible storm. Access to the online event is available from UU Falmouth Whole Life Learning at wll@uuffm.org ideally by 7 PM April 6 (the day before). More information is available at uuffm.org.
